FAQ

What happens if we cancel?

A $300 deposit is required to reserve your group’s stay at The Rose of Sharon Retreat Center. This deposit will be applied toward your total rental fee.

We understand that plans can change — if you need to cancel, a full refund of your deposit will be issued when the cancellation is made at least 90 days prior to your retreat date.

Cancellations made within 90 days of your scheduled stay will forfeit the deposit. Any changes that reduce the number of days in your reservation must also be made at least 90 days in advance to avoid being charged for those days.

Is there a minimum to rent the Rose of Sharon?

Yes, our retreat is priced for a minimum of eight guests per night. Smaller groups are always welcome to stay and enjoy The Rose of Sharon; however, the minimum charge will still reflect eight guests.

Of course — we can still be friends! Scrapbookers are just as welcome as quilters at The Rose of Sharon. Yes! Our kitchen is fully equipped and ready for your group. You’ll find everything you need to cook, bake, and share meals together — including a stove and oven, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. Absolutely! While The Rose of Sharon is a beautiful historic home, it has been thoughtfully renovated for modern comfort. You’ll enjoy central air conditioning and cozy amenities, all while surrounded by the original woodwork and timeless charm of a home built in the late 1800s.

The Rose of Sharon offers a ramp entrance and a bedroom located on the main floor for easier access, as well as a swivel seat in the main floor shower. However, please note that the doorway to this bedroom is not wide enough for a wheelchair, and some areas of the home may be more challenging to navigate for guests with mobility limitations.

What if we have more than 8 people wanting to stay?

We’re happy to accommodate up to 16 guests at The Rose of Sharon Retreat Center. The rate is $75 per person, per night, so everyone in your group can enjoy a comfortable and creative stay together.

Are sewing machines provided?

Not at this time. We invite guests to bring their own sewing machines and favorite tools, so you’ll have everything you need to create comfortably during your stay.
